What can CloserLook show me?
CloserLook can display publicly visible Instagram profile details and, when available, a sample of up to 10 follower profiles. The guided experience brings that information together with clearly labelled illustrations.
Do I need an Instagram password?
No. You don’t need to provide Instagram credentials, and CloserLook does not sign into the account. The login screen inside the preview is a simulation.
What if I don’t know every detail?
You can skip the name, username, age, and photo questions. A username is needed to look for Instagram profile information. If you don’t have one, you can still explore the illustrated preview.
Are the messages and scans real?
The feed, conversations, photo scans, and dating-app sequences are simulated illustrations. They do not reveal private messages or establish dating-app activity. Available public follower names and avatars may appear in the preview, but they do not establish a conversation or relationship.
What happens if a profile is private or unavailable?
Some public profile details may still be visible on a private account. Private follower lists are not available through this experience. If profile information can’t be retrieved, you can continue with the demonstration; an unavailable result doesn’t tell you why the information couldn’t be found.
Can I leave and come back later?
Your progress is saved in the same browser for up to four hours, including your place at the email step. Come back during that time and carry on where you left off. If you return to an earlier photo step, you may need to choose the photo again.
